One of our most popular scheduled safaris, the Kenya Classic provides holidaymakers with a great value and classic game viewing experience. After a restful night in Nairobi, the safari starts with the impressive Masai Mara National Reserve, continues to the Rift Valley and Lake Nakuru and ends with Amboseli National Park, brimming with wildlife and offering the best chances to view majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. From here, you can continue on to Tanzania in our East African Explorer (when travelling on options A and C connecting at Namaga, return to Nairobi and extend to the coast for relaxation on the beach, or return home via Nairobi with fond memories.

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you are met and transferred to your Nairobi area hotel for overnight on bed & breakfast basis - Safari Park Hotel or Nairobi Safari Club.

Day 2

You depart after breakfast and travel by road to Masai Mara National Reserve. You arrive at your lodge for lunch. After lunch and a chance to enjoy the facilities at the lodge, you set out on an afternoon game drive. Part of the Serengeti ecosystem, Masai Mara is part-time home to the annual migration of more than a million wildebeest and full-time home to a rich variety of resident game. Overnight in Mara Simba Lodge, Keekorok Lodge or Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 3

Using your lodge as a base, you spend the day game viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 4

You have a final glimpse of Masai Mara National Reserve as you depart and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. You arrive at the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you game view with a chance to see the exciting wildlife and birds that flock to the lake. Dinner and overnight is at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5

Travelling with a picnic lunch, you depart Lake Nakuru and head towards Amboseli National Park. It is a long drive but you pass interesting villages and have stops along the way. Those travelling on options A and B have a game view en route to the lodge. Those on option C arrive at the lodge in the afternoon and have a chance to relax and enjoy the swimming pool and other facilities. Dinner and overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge or Amboseli Sopa Lodge (Option C).

Day 6

With Mount Kilimanjaro serving as a dramatic background, you spend the day game viewing in Amboseli National Park. Meals and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7

You set out after breakfast for the drive back to Nairobi arriving by noon. Here you may continue to the coast to relax on the beach, travel to Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda or more, or return home.
