After a relaxing night in your Nairobi area hotel, you start your safari with a drive across the Equator. You will stop and commemorate the experience before continuing on to Samburu National Reserve. This safari takes you to some of Kenya's most well-liked wildlife reserves, each with unique features and varying flora and fauna. You will have a chance to view one of Africa's most notable waterfalls - Nyahururu Falls (formerly called Thomson Falls). The three options to choose from each have their unique and impressive styles of accommodation.

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you are met and transferred to your Nairobi area hotel for overnight on bed & breakfast basis - Sarova Stanley Hotel, Sarova Panafric Hotel or Nairobi Safari Club.

Day 2

Departing by road after breakfast, you set out to the Samburu region, home to three national reserves grouped together and often only referred to as Samburu Park. These reserves comprise of Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves. The different options of this safari stay in different locations but all offer great game viewings. Lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, Samburu Simba Lodge or Samburu Game Lodge.

Day 3

Using your lodge as a base, you spend the day enjoying the variety of game these reserves have to offer. Meals and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4

You return across the equator and travel to the highlands in the foothills of Africa's second highest peak, Mount Kenya. Options A and B head to Mount Kenya National Park and arrive for lunch at Serena Mountain Lodge. Option C heads to Aberdare National Park arriving for lunch at Outspan Golf and Country Club before proceeding to Treetops. The afternoon and evening is spent game viewing from the observation areas provided at the lodge. Some guests spend until the wee hours of the morning observing wildlife that comes to drink at the floodlit watering holes.

Day 5

You leave your tree lodge and depart to Lake Nakuru National Park. En route, you visit Nyahururu Falls (formerly Thompson Falls). You arrive at the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you game view with a chance to see the exciting wildlife and birds that flock to the lake. Dinner and overnight is at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 6

You depart after breakfast and travel by road to Masai Mara National Reserve. You arrive at your lodge for lunch. After lunch and a chance to enjoy the facilities at the lodge, you set out on an afternoon game drive. Part of the Serengeti ecosystem, Masai Mara is part-time home to the annual migration of more than a million wildebeest and full-time home to a rich variety of resident game. Overnight in Sarova Mara Game Camp, Mara Simba Lodge or Keekorok Lodge.

Day 7

Using your lodge as a base, you spend the day game viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 8

You set out after breakfast for the drive back to Nairobi arriving by noon. Here you may continue to the coast to relax on the beach, travel to Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda or more, or return home.
