For travellers that prefer a true African experience, this safari is an outstanding choice. Travelling by road between these amazing parks allows for visit to small villages. You will join your camp team at local markets as they shop for fresh fruit and vegetables. Game drives are in your private vehicle and overnights are spent in basic but comfortable tents looked after by the camp crew who travel with you.

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Dar es Salaam's JKN International Airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel for overnight on bed & breakfast basis - Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel.

Day 2

Met at your Dar es Salaam area hotel or Dar es Salaam’s JKN Airport (by 0830) by your safari vehicle and driver before departing to Udzungwa with picnic lunch arriving approx 1400 hrs. On arrival continue for a trek on the Udzungwa Mountains with bird watching as well as some wildlife viewing. Return to the camp for dinner. Overnight Mobile Camp on full board basis.

Day 3

After breakfast, depart for Ruaha with packed lunch, on arrival en route game drive to campsite located inside the park. Ruaha, with an area of 10,300 sq. km, is the second largest park, and second largest elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. The great Ruaha River which flows along its entire eastern border, creating spectacular gorges and scenery, features a large number of hippos and crocodiles. The wide variety of animals include Greater and Lesser Kudu, Roan and Sable Antelope. Birdlife is rich, with over 370 species recorded. Overnight Mobile Camp on full board basis.

Day 4

After breakfast, depart for full day game drive with packed lunch. Ruaha has got arguably the best scenery in the southern safari sector with rivers, plains and forests. Back to camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight Mobile Camp on full board basis.

Day 5

Proceed to Morogoro with picnic lunch. Visit Rocky gardens (a water garden at the foot of the Uluguru Mountains. Dinner and overnight. Overnight Hotel Oasis on half board in standard room .

Day 6

Transfer to Selous Game Reserve with packed lunch. Game drive en route to the campsite where upon arrival you will find a complete bush, cleared enough to camp. From your tents, you will be seeing nothing but the flow of the Rufiji River, hippos popping there heads above the water and crocodiles gracefully wading in the current. On arrival at the camp time to relax and soak in the African bush atmosphere as the crew set up your camp. Dinner will be served, followed by overnight. Overnight Mobile Camp on full board basis.

Day 7

After a hearty breakfast, you will depart for your full day game drive with a packed lunch. Today you will get to see a variety of game, including the African hunting dog, drive through different terrain, bush, savannah and miombo woodland. Selous, Africa's largest wildlife sanctuary with an area of 54,600 sq. km is bigger than Denmark and 4 times the size of Serengeti. It has the World's largest number of big game - elephant, buffalo, rhino; sable antelope. Selous also contains wildebeest, eland, giraffe, waterbuck, zebra, impala, hippo, leopard and lion. There are about 350 species of birdlife you will get back to camp late evening, for a hot dinner. Overnight Mobile Camp on full board basis.

Day 8

Early morning boat safari then drive back to Dar with picnic lunch and transfer to Dar airport for departure flight. End of the safari.
