This section specifically deals with bookings and payments needed in securing a holiday arrangement with us. We suggest you read it carefully and request that you contact us should you have any questions.
So far as the mechanics of finalising bookings and payment are concerned, what happens is that when ASD and clients have agreed an itinerary and price, ASD will email an Africa Safari Direct Ltd. booking form, and request payment of a deposit of £300 per person (or €400 pp or US$500 pp).

Africa Safari Direct Ltd. is registered with the UK Civil Aviation Authority and has an ATOL (Air Travel Operators Licence) for your financial protection, and to comply with UK consumer protection law. The ATOL gives financial protection where flights from the UK are included in clients’ arrangements and clients are additionally protected by the credit card company if payment is made by this means, whether or not international flights are included.

Once clients have paid a deposit, ASD will reconfirm any flights and all other bookings to secure the itinerary. If any accommodation is not available, ASD will suggest alternative accommodation and/ or a modified itinerary as close as possible to the original proposal. If this results in a less expensive total, ASD will pass on any saving and if the increase is small, ASD will absorb the difference. If changing the accommodation/ itinerary result in a significant increase in cost, clients will have the option of paying the increased cost, or cancelling the trip with a full refund of deposit paid. The balance will be payable three months in advance of clients’ date of departure.

Clients can pay deposit and balance with a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express credit card at no extra cost. Clients can also pay by bank transfer in £ Pound Stirling, US Dollars or Euros. All accounts are in the United Kingdom and the account details will be shown on the contract.

Africa Safari Direct Ltd. and Ranger Safaris / Pollman's Tours & Safaris require that clients be covered by their own personal travel insurance for the period of their trip and Africa Safari Direct can assist UK residents requiring a travel policy if necessary.

Africa Safari Direct Ltd. will mail clients a receipt for payment, and a booking confirmation.

Clients should take a print out of their contract, which will act as a voucher for all services. Any internal flight tickets and necessary vouchers in East Africa will be handed to clients after arrival, but most day to day paperwork will be handled by the driver/ guide or other Rangers or Pollman's representatives.

All the local contact telephone numbers etc. needed for Ranger Safaris in Tanzania and Pollman's in Kenya, (who will be the ground operators and responsible for clients’ arrangements throughout your stay), are found on the ASD contract.
